Julie Harris

Welcome to my world of wellbeing, yoga, graphic design and events.

I enjoy spending my time being creative and creating experiences for others. So I’m either working as a graphic designer, creating events or teaching and sharing yoga, meditation, relaxation, reiki… wellbeing.

I came to yoga initially to help manage a stressful life – crazy work hours with an intense home life, there was very little time for space, to decompress, to be me… until those moments lying on my mat in shavasana when I could let go and let be.

So I found space.

During many years working and playing with different practices and prana, the life-force or energy, that animates us, I started to find connection and this is what I keep returning to. It has helped me through times of stress, grief, anxiety… allowing me to breathe again. I found freedom.

This is what I would like to share. These practices that have been passed down from ancient traditions and cultures that help to make life more enjoyable. When I see the freedom they bring to those who practice, I understand this purpose.

As part of a desire to create better life experiences and sharing what I know, I also like to help people in the wellbeing world using my knowledge of graphic design to promote their businesses through graphics, web design or creating events.

Helping you to help yourself, but also… helping you to help others.

A transformational programme that will guide you into presence, creating connection and stillness allowing you freedom to breathe and be.

Breathing affects every system in our bodies – respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, muscular but also has an effect on our emotions, our mind, our memory, our energy. So working with the breath is incredible powerful and transformative for all levels of your being.

“When you breathe mindfully, you bring your whole body & mind into harmony” Thich Nhat Hanh

We live in a chronically over stimulated and stressed world and rarely take time to rest, relax and recuperate fully. These sessions will give you the chance to work with your breath, focus on the moment and simply be.

Through the use of pranayama (breath), yoga nidra (relaxation), asana (postures), reiki, readings, guided meditation and journeying, these sessions will release, transform and promote your own self-healing and wellbeing.

As a result, you will feel relaxed, calm and in control of your life.

“When we breathe well, we create optimum conditions for health and wellbeing” Donna Farhi

Should you come with anxiety, stress, grief, or any particular challenge, we will create a heartfelt, authentic space for you to work through and release some of the difficulty you may be holding and allow you to have fun even in the face of adversity.

No two people have ever had the same life experience or view life in the same way. Likewise, each day, or moment, is different to the next so these sessions aim to meet your individual needs.

Sometimes we need movement, sometimes we need rest, sometimes we are struggling, sometimes we need stillness, so whatever your need may be, these sessions provide you with a safe and nurturing space to breathe and be.

Yoga nidra is an ancient yogic practice that is both a mind-body therapy and a systematic form of guided meditation that induces the ultimate deep relaxation and healing. So, it’s a transformational practice that creates freedom and wellbeing through a complete nourishment of the senses.

It is known to bring immediate physical benefits – reducing stress and helping with sleep – but it also works on healing psychological wounds.

As a result, you will feel refreshed, reset and relaxed.

This healing practice allows you to step into the internal dimensions of your consciousness. It is often called yogic sleep, as it is said 45 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours sleep, and yet it is so much more than just relaxation.

“When the body is relaxed & the mind comes to rest, we can see clearly.” Thich Nhat Hanh

All that is required is your presence as I guide you through the session.

Whether you’re looking for deep relaxation from a lack of sleep, peace of mind or healing transformation, the benefits of yoga nidra are magical.

In this nourishing healing, I use a combination of reiki, bodywork, holistic massage and spiritual connection to intuitively read what is going on in your body and create a heartfelt, authentic space to reveal and heal.

I work with your chakras and meridians to rebalance and release, using reiki to help shift any blocked or stagnant energy, and massage to soothe and nourish the body – helping release on a physical as well as emotional level. I also work with Shamanic oracle cards, and tune in to any guides that bring you messages to aid the healing process and open you into your heart space.

“I am so fortunate to have met Julie some years ago and have recently experienced another fantastic heart space healing session with her. She is truly gifted and I look forward to our sessions so much and cannot wait for the next one!. Sending much thanks, love and hugs.”

Yoga Nidra… the ultimate relaxation

Yoga Nidra is a transformational practice that creates freedom and wellbeing through a complete nourishment of the senses.

It is an ancient yogic practice that is both a mind-body therapy and a systematic form of guided meditation that induces the ultimate deep relaxation and healing.

This healing practice allows you to step into the internal dimensions of your consciousness.

It is often called yogic sleep, as it is said 45 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours sleep, and yet it is so much more than just relaxation, it is actually a process of awakening to your true nature.

A sankalpa is an intention, a positive resolution, a heartfelt wish for yourself or for others, something you would like to draw into your life. The use of sankalpa in the yoga nidra session is very powerful.

In the yoga nidra state, the mind is exceptionally receptive, so we state a sankalpa which is impressed on the subconscious mind when it is receptive and sensitive to autosuggestion.

It should be stated in the present tense as though it has already manifested in your life. It can be a simple yet powerful statement such as “I am happy”.

Try it and see what magic unfolds…
